I put this mix together over the last couple of weeks tweaking it here and there. this is essntially a house/tech house mix that pulls tracks from my vault as well as uses some relatively new tracks. I have uploaded my attempt at a deep house mix. I was really hooked on the 16 Bit lolitas track "Nobody Seems to Care" and tried to make a mix that finished with that track well. Overall, I'm pleased, but I wonder if the first part of this mix was a bit to "tech house" to accommodate the last 1/2 of the mix. As always, your comments are appreciatd, e-mail me at email@example.com .
My first true "podcast" - still testing the waters before I really start to publicize the feed and getting subscribers. So if you download this successfully on your podcather, please e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org .
I've been tinkering with this mix for a couple of weeks now, and have finally gotten myself satisfied. I had some new breaks tunes that I'd purchased and decided that I wanted to build a mix around them. I've pulled a few tracks out of the vault to put the finishing touches on this mix. I hope you enjoy. If you have any trouble with subscribing to my podcasts, please e-mail me at: email@example.com .
I've been quite busy with the real world lately, but have also been tinkering around with some mixes. This is the first of three coming over the next week or so. This is a "progressive breaks" mix, basically breakbeat wtih a touch of ambience and a slower tempo than some harder breaks.
As promised a new house mix that I've been tinkering with over the last month and need to just let go of. The funny thing about this is that there are some tracks by the son of a friend of my father-in-law's, who is from St. Louis, but lives full time in Germany working as a home painter to support his dance music productions.
I've been mucking around with this mix, and while it's a bit bass heavy at times, I do like the tracklisting. This is a essentially a Techno mix with some elements of Tech House and some minimal tracks thrown in for good measure.
I've had a house groove that was trying to get out and I wound up with two mixes, this first one winds up being very "clubby" but is still enjoyable. . . at least to me.
The second of two house music mixes I've finished recently. This one is much more of a deep house mix that finishes with a remix of a track I'm sure many of you will recognize.
The first of several mixes I'm posting to "catch up" on this little project. This is a largely a tech house mix with some funky elements as well as some tracks that one could consider to be straight up techno. Tracklisting is available at TheBedroomDJ.Com.
Kind'a going for a laid back funky vibe here, mostly smooth deep house w/ some latin elements in the early part getting heavier and chunkier as the mix progresses. Tracklisting is available at TheBedroomDJ.Com.
I've been digging the less frenetic side of house, liking the deep house side that just makes you wanna bob your head to a groove. Look for a great track in the middle when you want to "beat that bitch with a bat". Tracklisting is available at TheBedroomDJ.Com.
This mix starts out with a very deep vibe, but in the last third I tried to pick up the energy. The final track has a vocal overlay that I swear is Obama talking about samba ("2 and 3 are the same"). Tracklisting is available at TheBedroomDJ.Com.
Every once in awhile, I feel like delving in the world of ambient/progressive breaks. I put this together in relatively short order, and was pretty pleased with how it came out with minimal tweaking. Tracklisting is available at TheBedroomDJ.Com.
